1Mission & Purpose
bestaiskill.com is the definitive open-source directory, safety governance hub, and verified package mirror for AI agent skills.
As autonomous developer tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Roo-Code, AutoGPT, and OMP take over production workstations, agent skills increasingly execute shell commands, install binaries, and touch external APIs. Vague "safe vs dangerous" labels and self-reported README marketing fail to provide enterprise-grade certainty. Our mission is to establish transparent code inspection standards: grounded in source file evidence, classified by objective control levels, and delivered via tamper-proof mirrors.
2Our Four Core Pillars
We never rely on LLM hallucinations or superficial summaries. Every skill is physically cloned and pinned to its git commit hash. Pass 1 extracts actual file paths, command executions, environment touches, and network endpoints. Pass 2 runs an independent adversarial audit to cross-verify claims before publishing.
We separate capability from provenance: Control Level (L1 Basic to L5 Restricted) informs runtime sandboxing, authorization requirements, and audit logging needs under the maximum-capability principle; Verification (V0 Unverified to V3 Monitored) validates origin integrity, commit pinning, and checksum tracking.
Upstream repositories can be modified, corrupted, or deleted at any moment. We package lightweight, clean tarballs containing the pinned release, generate immutable SHA-256 checksums, and distribute them over Cloudflare's global edge network.
Built for agents first: root /llms.txt for instant indexing, RFC-aligned /.well-known/agent-skills/index.json, and per-skill .install.json guides allowing AI agents to install and verify dependencies autonomously.
3Editorial Independence
bestaiskill.com is run independently by software engineers and security researchers. We accept no payment or sponsorship to inflate control tiers, manipulate audits, or conceal risks. All assessments are reproducible against upstream source code. Third-party skills belong to their original authors under their respective open-source licenses.
